Xiaomi is launching a smartwatch Mi Watch with WearOS operating system, Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor and 1 GB of RAM

Xiaomi is known in the world not only for its smartphones, but also for the smart watches that it launches together with the wearable electronics manufacturer Huami. Now, it seems that the Chinese giant has decided to take everything into its own hands.

What is known

Journalists of the 9to5Google edition “poked around” in the Wear OS 2.28 application code and found references to the Xiaomi Mi Watch smartwatch there. The novelty, apparently, will be running the Google operating system along with the companion app Mi Wear.

There are no characteristics of the watch, we can only assume that they will receive a standard set: a round OLED display, Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor, 1 GB of RAM, Alway-On Display function and NFC-module for contactless payments. When Xiaomi announces Mi Watch is still unknown. Most likely, the watch is still under development and should not be expected in the near future.
